Client wanted an interactive video platform, allowing users to import a video and add clickable hotspots, or ‘tags’, to any object in video. It was a Shoppable Video Player which would encourage viewers to explore Products tagged in the video and allow them to buy it by just clicking the URL provided in the video.
It was a B2B web based application which would be based on invites sent to influencers of the client. These Influencers would then create the videos with product tags and share it on Facebook or their blogs. Contract was prepared after brief estimations workshops with Project Manager and Developers. The final contract was shared with client for approval.
This project was not easy as it looked. There are competitors in market which has put in years of R&D to come up with such system. We had developed this system in 3-4 months timeframe. A lot of research was done by developers and because of which we could deliver a very robust and interactive web application as client had requested us. Shoppable Video Player which we named as VDOBOX would definately encourage social media people to explore Products tagged in the video and allow them to buy it by just clicking the URL provided in the video.
Based on agreed specification document, Wireframes and final Designs were created by our Designer. Design sign-off calls and meetings were held and finally the designs were finalised.
We had kick-off meeting with Developers and QAs involved in this project. Technologies to be used for development and phases in project were discussed. Project Milestones were shared with client. Regular demo meetings were held with client to keep them updated with the progress over the project at various phases.
